WHAT TO EXPECT UPON ARRIVAL
A place that speaks of simplicity and spirit.
As you approach our historic property, you'll notice the simple gray shingled meeting house nestled among mature trees at the corner of Piping Rock and Duck Pond Roads—a living manifestation of the Quaker testimony of simplicity.
Originally built in 1725-26, our meetinghouse was unfortunately ravaged by fire in 1985 but was faithfully reconstructed the following year, preserving its historic character. It remains on the National Register of Historic Places and continues our nearly 300-year tradition of Quaker worship in Locust Valley.
Directly across Duck Pond Road, you'll see Friends Academy, a college preparatory school founded by Quakers in 1876 that shares our commitment to values-based education.
